Integrated Marine Group Induction

Integrated Marine takes your health and safety very seriously and wants you to be aware of our workplace protocols and your responsibilities to keep you and your workmates safe.

The privacy of the Vessel Owners and Crew are also paramount.

  1. HOW OUR INDUCTION WORKS
    • Please read and understand the following information. At the bottom of the page there is a link to a quiz, based on the information below. There are only 10 questions but you must answer them all correctly. If you do not, we will let you know immediately and you can re-take the quiz.
    • Additionally, to work on a vessel at SILO or VIADUCT Marinas you must complete their induction HERE 
    • If you are working on a vessel in VESSEL WORKS Tauranga, you must complete their induction HERE 
  2. WHO NEEDS TO BE INDUCTED?
    • Every individual entering an Integrated Marine work site must complete and pass the induction process ANNUALLY. Ideally, the inductions will be renewed upon the annual renewal and representation of the Companies Ship Repairers Insurance policy.
  3. REPORT IT
    • If you see anything that you believe to be unsafe, you are REQUIRED to report it to your supervisor. Alternatively, email us at projects@integratedmarine.com
  4. GENERAL SITE ACCESS
    • You must SIGN IN to a site before commencing any works on the vessel. GO HERE You must sign off a vessel as you leave it. GO HERE. Take time to familiarise yourself with the exit points of the vessel and the evacuation meeting point(s).
  5. SMOKING
    • All Integrated Marine work sites are NO SMOKING areas.
  6. FOOD
    • There is to be NO EATING on any vessel.
  7. PRIVACY
    • By entering an Integrated Marine Site, you agree that you will not disclose any information about the Owner nor the Movements of the vessel that they are working on. This includes the prohibition of any photos or recordings being taken on the vessel. Additionally, there is to be NO ACCESS to any portion or part or area of the vessel that is not in the immediate vicinity of the actual works being undertaken by the individual contractor.
  8. VESSEL FACILITIES
    • Do not use any facilities on board the vessel (Galley, Bathrooms etc).
  9. HOT WORKS
    • Any Hot Works (Welding, gas cutting, open flame works) require a job specific “hot works permit” from the Project Manager.
  10. WORKING AT HEIGHT
    • Any individual working at height must do so in compliance with WorkSafe NZ guidelines published HERE
  11. CONFINED SPACES
    • Working in Confined Space is considered a high risk activity and no person shall enter any confined space (any space not intended for human occupancy, one with a possible lack of oxygen or the possibility of the build up of fumes or where ease of access or escape is limited). No CONFINED SPACE works shall be undertaken without specialist training and a specific Health and Safety plan being lodged with the Project Manager.
  12. WORKING OVER WATER
    • Any works over water shall require the individual to wear an approved PFD and a suitable exit point from the water (ladder, float, raft etc.) must be provided.
  13. PPE GEAR AND SAFETY SIGNAGE
    • Correct PPE gear shall always be worn. Where it may be impractical to wear all PPE gear on a Superyacht (such a steel capped boots on a carpeted interior) an alternative arrangement must be made prior, with the Project Manager. Read and follow all site safety signage.
  14. INSTRUCTION
    • The vessel reserves the right to refuse access to anyone wishing to board the vessel. They may also request that phones and other recording devises are not brought on board the vessel.

      HOWEVER, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE WORK RELATED INSTRUCTION FROM ANYONE OTHER THAN YOUR SUPERVISOR, WHO SHALL IN TURN ONLY TAKE INSTRUCTION FROM THE PROJECT MANAGER. THIS IS TO ENSURE THAT THE INSTUCTION IS RECORDED AND YOU GET PAID AT THE END OF THE JOB!
